About Us

Welcome to Molava! The meaning behind Molava came from my 2 year old daughter who loves Elmo. In fact, it was her third word, behind "No" and "Mama". (Dada did come shortly after!) The Mo in Molava comes from Elmo, who inspires all young kids to learn, be creative, and enjoy all aspects of life. Sometime we forget this as we age and Molava bracelets are meant to bring back that creative lifestyle we all dreamed of as kids. Lava comes from my favorite beads, lava stones. These beads are so versatile and they stay on my wrist on the beach or up in the mountains. They are the grounding bead to mother earth and integrating the stone with other Gemstones, you get the perfect bracelet collection.

All Molava Bracelets are designed, handmade, and shipped from Richmond, VA. They include a canvas jewelry bag (for gifts) and a thank you card. Current lead time for bracelet creation and shipment is 3-5 business days. 

Sizing Details:
If your bracelet does not fit when it arrives, please contact us at support@molavaco.com. We offer one free replacement for re-sizing. 

Refunds:
If you are not satisfied with our bracelets when they arrive, please contact us as we will issue a full refund. 

Shipping Details:
Every Molava bracelet is handmade, packaged, and shipped from Raleigh, NC  We create and ship within 1-2 business days. 

Estimated shipping times
Mexico: 1-8 weeks
United States: 1-4 business days
North America: 3-10 business days
Europe: 10-20 business days

We do our best to meet these shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose

New Bracelets Must Be Broken In..
We use 1mm string, which is the strongest string that can be made with a beaded bracelet. While this allows for the bracelet to be durable, it also requires the bracelet/s be broken in. 

We recommend wearing the bracelet/s for at least a week to allow the bracelet/s to form. Once broken in, you will notice they will easily slide and slide off your wrist and feel comfortable throughout the day.

Giving a Gift? 
All bracelets come with a canvas back and a thank you card. We do not include printed invoices in our packages. Why? Saves us paper and money. We take those savings to grow the Molava community and give back!  (Serious note, if you need a printed packing slip, just email us, we will include one!)

Issues with Bracelet After Ordering?

Stuff happens. You dropped the bracelet on the floor and one of the beads cracked. Your daughter decides to flush one down the toilet (Yep, that happened to us). Or on rare occasions, the knot breaks in the back of the bracelet. We offer a full guarantee on my bracelets. Therefore, if anything happens to them, just reach out to via email (support@molavaco.com) and we can work on a replacement. Depending on the order size will determine if the bracelets needs to be sent back.

Can I Swim with Molava Bracelets?

Short Answer is it depends on the bracelet. The Cedar wood beads should be kept as dry as possible but getting them wet occasionally will not damage the bracelet. Adding olive oil to the wood beads will make them last longer. A few drops every few weeks will do. 

The lava beads and all other gemstones seem to do just fine in Water. We go to the beach and we always wear them in the water.

Our advice.. Wear them and enjoy them! We offer a full guarantee on every bracelet sold.

Gift Wrapping and Packaging

Every order will contain a small Jewelry bag with the Molava logo on it. It also contains a Thank you card!
